The Roman's Road to Salvation
We Are All Sinners (Romans 3:23)
- "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God."
- This verse highlights the universal need for salvation because everyone has deviated from God's perfect standard.
Jesus Died for Our Sins (Romans 5:8)
- ". . .God commendeth His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us."
- This verse emphasizes the free and unearned love of God, who sent Jesus to atone for our sins while we were still in a state of rebellion.
Believe in Jesus and Confess Him as Lord (Romans 10:9-10)
- "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation."
- This verse outlines the steps for receiving salvation: from your heart to God’s heart, confess you are a sinner and Jesus as Lord, believing in your heart that God raised him from the dead, and ask God to save you.
Eternal Life and Justification (Romans 6:23, 5:1)
- "For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." (Romans 6:23)
- "Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:" (Romans 5:1)
- This verse highlights the consequences of accepting Jesus's sacrifice: we are justified (declared righteous) and have peace with God, and we are given eternal life.
From your heart to God’s heart, pray:
“Dear Lord, I know I’m a sinner, I believe Jesus died for me and paid for my sins. Please forgive me and save my soul. I give my life to you. Amen”
Please let us know if you prayed this prayer so we may rejoice with you.
